Hello, thank you for visiting my page. The idea of starting a blog occured to me about 18 months ago, after I returned from my first experience at Paris Fashion Week. I was very inspired by my experience in Paris. I met and observed so many interesting and fascinating people from around the world. Everyone has a story, and I am hear to share mine. I thought to myself, why don’t I share my unique perspective and experiences with others when it comes to working, mothering, and living. Maybe, I can help someone, inspire them, or maybe I will just help and inspire myself to keep moving forward instead of back.
The name, The Conversation Closet, was inspired by my future dream closet (designed by me and currently under construction) and my closet is inspired by Dior and the Hotel Plaza Athenee, both of which I experienced first hand in Paris. My mom, my husband, and I spent hours throwing out names. I kept getting stuck, and then my mom switched up one of them, and voila , The Conversation Closet was born.
Here is synopsis about me:
I am the middle child of a middle class family in the middle of the Midwest
I’ve been an entrepreneur since I was a child.
I am an energetic, artistic, sometimes scatter-brained, over-the-top, always late, creative, with a passionate, intense drive for life, & my husband is the only one who knows how to handle me.
I was a dentist in private practice and in a non-for-profit organization.
I have four children.
I’ve been a student mom, more than full time working mom, part-time working mom, full time stay-at-home mom, and a home-school mom.
I have lived in the city, the country side, the Midwest, East Coast, the South and Australia.
I have traveled around the world.
I renovated a childhood home and built a dream home.
I have a passion for feeling good by being the best I can be.
I love Jesus, my family, and my country.
Oh and I really, really like luxury living, including exclusive experiences, bespoke travel, and luxury brands, especially Christian Dior.
My motto is Enjoy Life Now because I have to constantly remind myself of that everyday. You never know when things are really going to hit the fan, so I TRY not to sweat the small stuff.
The things I am most passionate about at this point in my life:
My kids: their mental, spiritual, and physical well-being. Making sure they are making the most of their God given talents and not wasting it on TV and video games. Seeing the world with them. Opening their eyes to the potential inside themselves and others around them.
My home: making it place my kids will enjoy growing up in and a place they will look forward to coming back to as adults.
My health: Taking the best care of myself possible. This includes mental, spiritual, and physical well-being. I try to accomplish this with daily mindfulness, this blog, praying, spending time reading scripture from the true word of God, daily exercise, eating healthy, and using the best products I can for my body.
My closet: first finishing it, then filling it with the most beautiful things from around the world, then enjoying and using it daily.
Travel: seeing, doing, experiencing, tasting, unique luxurious places around the world.
There you have it, Tatiana Nicole, in a not so small nut shell.
